Adaptive Unit Protection for Lines Connecting Large Solar Plants Using Incremental Current Ratio

Control schemes in a solar plant complying with different grid codes modulate the output voltage and current significantly during fault. In this article, issue conventional differential approaches for line connecting large is analyzed new protection technique using both end incremental phasors proposed. The proposed method uses two criteria to identify internal faults such connectivity. first criterion based on ratio of phase phasors, second one magnitude positive sequence currents. Both are adaptive terminal currents complement each other enriching applicable any system condition. performance tested external fault cases found be accurate. compatibility also validated real-time simulator. Comparative assessment techniques reveals superiority approach.
